As Flextion’s CEO and CIO, he draws on more than four decades of portfolio management experience to develop disciplined, research-driven investment strategies that help clients navigate volatility, manage risk, and capitalize on market opportunities.
Paul Ehrlichman, Flextion’s CEO and CIO, has over four decades of experience in portfolio management, leveraging fundamental and quantitative research to develop investment processes and strategies that enhance client returns and manage risks in volatile markets. He has led equity teams focused on global and international value strategies, serving a diverse client base that includes individuals, pension funds, and endowments at several leading global asset managers.
Recognizing early on that the traditional “buy low, sell high” investment model is flawed—often causing investors to miss out on market gains—Paul founded Flextion to create a better solution. Flextion’s innovative approach is designed to redefine the investment process, aiming to deliver superior returns for clients.
Paul was a founding partner at Brandywine Global and served as Chief Investment Officer at Global Currents, a global equities-focused firm spun off from Brandywine. Global Currents later merged with ClearBridge Investments, a leading global equity manager with approximately $150 billion in client assets under the Franklin Templeton group.

PRESIDENT & COO
As President and Chief Operating Officer of Flextion, Bevin leads operations, technology, and strategic partnerships across the organization. He previously founded FINCastle Consulting, where he advised emerging fintech and wealth management firms on product strategy, scaling initiatives, and funding strategies.
Specializing in solving complex challenges related to platform design, servicing, distribution, and capital formation, Bevin brings over 35 years of experience across asset and wealth management channels, including institutional including SMA and UMA platforms, alternative, and private wealth. Bevin’s strengths include building investment products, developing integrated systems and platforms, leading high-performing teams, and sourcing vendors. He is adept at evaluating and implementing fintech solutions across front, middle, and back-office operations.
As the President and Chief Operating Officer of Flextion, Bevin oversees operations, technology and vendor partnerships. Bevin advised emerging fintech and wealth management firms on product development, staffing, and funding strategies as the founder of FINCastle consulting. He led the development of groundbreaking technology that fully integrated front, middle, and back-office operations, as the founder of Archer Investment Solutions culminating in the company’s acquisition by Bank of New York in late 2024.
Earlier, Bevin held key leadership roles at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, including Director of Fiduciary Services (SMA), Director of Administration and Operations, Member of the Product Development Committee, and Director of Research Communications. Prior to that, he served as National Product Manager at The Boston Company (now part of Bank of New York Mellon), a global leader in custody, asset servicing, and asset management

CTO
As Chief Technology Officer at Flextion, Nayan leads the development of the firm’s AI-driven investment platform, applying deep expertise in artificial intelligence and natural language processing to advance investment decision-making.
A distinguished digital transformation leader, Nayan has 15 years of experience in conceptualizing and implementing digital transformation strategies for some of the world’s top wealth management firms. He has worked closely with Barron’s top financial advisors to design and optimize investment strategies and asset allocation frameworks for their clients.
As Chief Technology Officer at Flextion, Nayan leverages his expertise in AI-driven investment portfolio strategies to shape the firm’s cutting-edge platform. A pioneer in applying AI and NLP to investment management, he recently developed and deployed an AI-based Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) model to deliver superior risk-adjusted returns for pension funds, endowments, and ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWI).
Nayan has also led the creation of automated investment services, including intelligent portfolio rebalancing, augmented tax-loss harvesting algorithms, and bear/bull market sensing strategies for family offices. Prior to Flextion, he served as Director at Rage Frameworks, overseeing business development, operations, and implementation across North America for the wealth management division.

CFO
Joe serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Flextion, where he leads financial planning, capital strategy, and corporate operations. A CFA charter holder, Joe applies rigorous fundamental analysis and a disciplined approach to risk management.
With nearly two decades of experience spanning investment management, equity research, and institutional portfolio strategy, Joseph Mack serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Flextion, where he leads financial planning, capital strategy, and corporate operations. A CFA charter holder, Joe applies rigorous fundamental analysis and a disciplined approach to risk management in advancing Flextion’s mission to redefine how investors capture market returns.
Before joining Flextion, Joe was Director and Senior Analyst at ClearBridge Investments, where he shaped global asset allocation strategies and led deep-dive research across the Global Financials sector covering banks, fintech, real estate, and related industries.
Earlier in his career, Joe held senior research roles at Guggenheim Partners, Oppenheimer & Co., and Bank of America, where he honed his expertise in equity research, macroeconomic analysis, and hedge fund due diligence. He built a high-impact research practice alongside one of Wall Street’s most respected financial analysts and later brought his strategic lens to the startup world, advising an early-stage medical testing venture.

CMO
As Chief Marketing Officer at Flextion, Maria is responsible for shaping the firm’s market presence and growth strategy. Partnering closely with leadership, she oversees brand strategy, communications, digital marketing, and customer engagement to drive awareness and revenue growth.
With over three decades of experience, Maria has a proven track record of developing and executing strategic marketing programs that convert leads into loyal customers, driving growth and revenue. Known for empowering change-makers, she crafts highly curated omni-channel campaigns that showcase her clients’ unique perspectives to create a lasting impact.
As Chief Marketing Officer at Flextion, Maria leads brand growth and customer engagement through revenue-driven strategies. She works closely with the management team to shape the company’s market positioning while overseeing brand management, digital marketing, advertising, and communications.
In addition to founding Eminence Communications, Maria has held corporate communications roles with multinational firms and supported American companies entering the Mexican market post-NAFTA. Most recently, she has guided startups in developing their U.S. go-to-market strategies.

As Flextion’s Chief Client Officer, he brings a rare blend of technical expertise, commercial acumen, and leadership credibility that has consistently delivered long-term value for stakeholders.
Merle is a seasoned executive with more than 35 years of experience driving growth, transformation, and client success across financial services and technology. As Flextion’s Chief Client Officer, he brings a rare blend of technical expertise, commercial acumen, and leadership credibility that has consistently delivered long-term value for stakeholders.
An engineer by training, Merle played a pivotal role in establishing and scaling FactSet’s European division, achieving 35% year-over-year growth across eight countries in just six years. His career spans software development, sales and business development, product management, financial analysis, and investment management giving him a unique ability to align strategy with flawless execution.
Earlier, at VSS Capital Advisors, he conducted due diligence and served on the management team for various portfolio companies. At S&P Capital IQ, he led Global Strategic Accounts, cultivating top-tier institutional client relationships including seven of the world’s largest investment banks generating $6–8 million annually. Most recently, he served as Managing Director and Portfolio Analyst at Greenwich Investment Management, where he combined financial rigor with client-centric insights to optimize outcomes.

Principal Data Scientist AI and quantitative research
As Principal Data Scientist at Flextion, Gunjan leads the design and deployment of next-generation AI strategies for quantitative finance—integrating deep domain expertise with modern machine learning to optimize manager selection and maximize client outcomes.
An award-winning computer scientist and research portfolio director, Gunjan Verma specializes in advancing next-generation wireless communications, autonomous systems, and machine learning. At the U.S. Army Research Laboratory, he served in dual roles as ML Research Engineer and Portfolio Lead, managing a multi-million-dollar research portfolio across more than 30 of the nation’s top universities. With over 75 publications and 1,500+ citations, his research has been featured in leading journals and conferences spanning AI, networking, and robotics.
As Principal Data Scientist at Flextion, Gunjan leads the design and deployment of next-generation AI strategies for quantitative finance—integrating deep domain expertise with modern machine learning to optimize manager selection and maximize client outcomes.
His work has earned numerous distinctions, including the 2025 Civilian Service Commendation Medal from the Secretary of the Army, recognition from DARPA and NATO, and multiple ARL Awards for excellence in research, communications, and leadership. Gunjan holds B.S. degrees in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Economics from Rutgers University, and M.S. degrees in Applied Statistics (Duke University) and Applied Mathematics (Johns Hopkins University).

As an Investment Specialist at Flextion, Dan serves as a key bridge between clients and the firm’s technology platform, working directly with clients to ensure they fully understand and can leverage the platform’s capabilities translating complex functionality into clear, accessible guidance.

He began his career as an analyst at Aberdeen Asset Management, where he built a strong foundation in institutional investment research, portfolio evaluation, and the analytical frameworks that underpin rigorous asset management. He went on to spend eight years building and operating direct-to-consumer businesses, developing deep expertise in performance analysis, customer engagement, and data-driven decision-making.
